Arlene has been training students for over 30 years. She takes pride in making sure each child reaches his/her maximum potential. She offers one on one B’nai Mitzvah lessons, throughout the entire months prior to your Simcha.
In addition Mrs. Needleman has taught many special needs Bar/Bat Mitzvah students in our community. She welcomes the opportunity to help them achieve the mitzvah of becoming a Bar/Bat Mitzvah.
Arlene is married to past TBI President, Steve Needleman. The two have been active members of Temple Beth Israel for over 17 years. Arlene and Steve have three children, Joshua, Alison and Bonnie and two son-in-laws, Michael and David. Bonnie became a Bat Mitzvah at Temple Beth Israel. Both Bonnie and Alison are still active in our Torah reading program and read regularly on the High Holiday’s. Arlene and Steve live in Davie, Florida. They have been married for 30 years.

Dalia has been teaching children for over 39 years. She was born and raised in Israel. She studied at The Hebrew University and earned a Masters in Teaching from the High Institute of Teachers in Israel. After being a lead teacher and then assistant principal at an Israeli Elementry school she moved to South Florida in 1989 with her husband and three children. Here in Florida she has worked at various Jewish Day Schools and Hebrew schools, while being the head of Hebrew at Camp Ramah Darom in the Summers.
A favorite quote of Dalia’s by writer Aldous Huxley: ” Experience is not what happens to you. It’s what you do with what happens to you.”
TBI has been lucky to have Dalia working with our children for the last 6 years. When not creating a positive, informal , and fun Jewish learning experience for the students at TBI you can find her in the kitchen cooking some amazing food.
Dalia can be reached by calling the synagogue office at 954-851-9999 or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
